Shipping methods & partners

During checkout, you may be given the ability to choose a shipping method and/or partner. Please note that we retain the right to choose a different method or partner when we’re shipping your order, based on current availability, costs or for any reason we see fit.

Any changes to the shipping method and/or partner will not result in extra or reduced shipping charges; the amount charged during checkout will be deemed final in any case.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs may vary as a result of the following reasons:

  • Order amount
  • Shipping method and/or partner
  • Shipping country / region
  • Customs’ tariffs
  • Seasonal changes in shipping costs

Track & Trace

In general, our shipping partners offer the possibility to track & trace your order once we’ve handed it over to them. As a service to you, the track & trace code provided to us by our partners is shared with you upon sending the order. This can be done trough email, in your account dashboard or in other communication we may have regarding your order.

The availability and correctness of this tracking information, as well as the availability of the tracking options provided by our shipping partner is not guaranteed.

In case a shipment is delayed beyond normal delivery times after we’ve handed it over to our shipping partner, we can open an investigation with our shipping partner. The result of this investigation is uncertain and falls under the responsibility of the shipping partner.

In case our shipping partner concludes that the shipment is missing, we will claim the value of the order with the shipping partner.

We will re-ship your order to you free of charge if we’ve received the reimbursement of the order value by our shipping partner in full or we have received the original shipment in the original condition.

Missed delivery

In case delivery has not succeeded for one of the following reasons, we will not reimburse your order or re-ship it to you without costs:

  • You weren’t at home at the time of delivery
  • You refused the package at the time of delivery
  • Failure to pick up the shipment at a delivery point before the given time window
  • You gave us a wrong address
  • Any other reason why the shipment could not be reasonably delivered to you

International customs, duties, VAT and taxes

Shipments made outside the European Union / Schengen area may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, VAT and fees imposed by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties, VAT and fees, which are imposed once a shipment reaches the recipient’s country.

Additional charges for customs clearance must be paid by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and can’t predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for more information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.

Under no circumstance is Monk Customs to be held responsible for import taxes, customs duties, added taxes and/or brokerage fees, nor can it warrant a refund. By placing your order, you expressly agree to all policies in their current state.
